Well I inspected the motor and found damage from some plugs that broke last year. Chip in piston edge and combustion chamber damage. Couldnt afford to fix the motor right now so I took the 1997 dodge caravan junk motor I had sitting at my house (stock heads, cams block) bolted the turbo setup to it, converted to e85,
and did this on a 90 dollar motor with 16 pounds of boost (no more fuel flow after that on e85). This is a 9.3:1 12 valve motor with n/a pistons. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/O...ass_647377.htm I think the neon owner was pissed. Last edited by Ondonti; 04-19-2009 at 06:43 PM. |

he got back in line and was looking at all his gauges and laptop trying to act like "danger to the manifold", even though I was told that he has never run an 11 :P

11.5@125mph, Bone stock 12 valve sohc motor. Ran out of fuel and it got a little sick at the 1/8th on the 11.5@125 pass and then went 12.1@112 on 4 cylinders (in car video). Was slow the whole pass and then at the 1/8th it layed down but my foot stayed in since it was already broke. It looked safe on 4th gear street pulls but there was probably too much tire spin to really know. Now I have a fuel cell and twin external walbro pumps. Enough for way more then my T67 can produce. Bought a 10:1 1992 Diamante 12 valve 6g72 motor, regapped the rings, installed my custom heads/cams. Need to retune the car with the new fuel system now. Race Friday, Nisan Dyno day saturday if the motor holds. I plan on being the high dyno car if I don't blow up. These heads/cams did 516whp with a 6200 rev limiter and 7.0:1 compression @ 20psi boost so I hope the high compression motor will make comparable power at 15-16psi. I don't think I will push it much beyond that unless it starts being too reliable for my tastes. Last edited by Ondonti; 09-08-2009 at 09:26 PM. |
